API-653 Inspector course is provided for those individuals who may take the certification exam or require the body of knowledge require by API for such certification. The course outline includes:

• API Publication: RP 571 (Damage Mechanisms), RP 575 (Inspection of Storage Tanks), RP 577 (Welding Inspection and Metallurgy), API 650 (Welded Steel Tanks for Oil Storage), RP 651 (Cathodic Protection of Aboveground Petroleum Storage Tanks), RP 652 (Lining of Aboveground Petroleum Storage Tank Bottoms), and API 653 (Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration and Reconstruction).
• ASME Code: Section V (Nondestructive Examination), and Section IX (Welding).
• Calculations & Tabular Evaluation for Evaluating Thickness Measurements, Weld Sizes, and Tank Integrity.
• Welding on Atmospheric Aboveground Storage Tanks.
• Nondestructive Examination Procedures for RT, PT, MT, and UT Based on ASME Section V, and API-650 and API-653 General Nondestructive Examination Requirements.
• Practical Knowledge-General Requirements.
• Practical Knowledge-Specific Requirements.
